Take the NORTHERN STATE PKWY EAST to the MANETTO HILL RD exit- EXIT 37- toward WOODBURY / PLAINVIEW. Turn RIGHT onto MANETTO HILL RD and proceed past two shopping centers on your right. Just after the second shopping center, the entrance will be on the right. The building is called the Isalnd Professional Center and it is a three story glass building. The founder of DLS, Ron Minson, MD studied under Dr. Tomatis in Europe and incorporated Tomatis' listening therapy techniques into his psychiatric practice over 17 years ago. He then founded DLS in 1992 to develop equipment that takes advantage of the latest in audio technology. The DLS process could just as easily be termed "training" as remediation, because we are essentially training the auditory system, and its connections to the brain, to function more effectively.
